My Blog
For more than 2 years now, I have used my blog (Nunca) sobran las palabras (in Spanish for the time being) to share views, ideas and also to offer some tips and tools for localisation and translation professionals (or future professionals). I feel I am writing as someone who has still got a long career ahead but who also enjoys looking back and sharing what he has already learned in an almost 3-year professional career. I may occasionally get things wrong, or you may simply disagree with me, however, I always write with the belief than I can contribute my own little amount to help spread some of my knowledge and help improve the translation profession.
The topics I write about on my blog vary substantially depending on what I currently work on my professional day-to-day tasks as a translator and localisation specialist: support for CAT tools, translation trends, localisation of different types of files, customer/freelancer management, etc. Nonetheless, I must admit that sometimes I am also indirectly influenced by other areas in which I work on my free time such as programming and web design. I combine these two different trends in order to publish a kind of techy-tutorial-localisation articles you do not find in most translation blogs. This is the way I try to contribute to populate the Net with new and original ideas (the ones usually not covered by academics and that may prove useful for professionals).
I publish entries in my blog using Wordpress, as I find this platform comfortable to work with and think that it also makes easier for the reader.
